Why we are building this
For two centuries, a finished document was evidence of the mind that made it. Generative AI ended that. The essay, the brief, the paper, the application, and the report now prove nothing about who produced them or whether their facts exist. Every institution that trusted the artifact has a gap.
Detection tried to fill it with a probability score and failed: biased, contestable, and beaten by the next rewrite. We do not guess from the finished text. We read the process that produced it and check the facts inside it, then issue a signed record that travels with the work.
As machines write more, proof of human authorship and verified fact stop being policy questions and become inputs other systems depend on. We build that input.
